SAFETY RECORD – In the recent and complete build and start up of the modular design / skid mounted Allied New Technology plant in Florida, USA, Conve & AVS, Inc.® just established a Safety record of 83,200 hours of activities with no OSHA reportable accident and zero Lost Time Incident.

(Miami, Florida February 10, 2010) – Conve & AVS Inc.®, the leader on Chlor-Alkali on-site modular design technology supplier announces its successful project completion and start up of a 60 MTPD of Chlorine Gas Plant expansion installed for Coogee Chemicals Pty. Ltd. in Kwinana Beach, Western Australia.

Background
Coogee Chemicals’ Kwinana existing Chlor-alkali plant was established in 1991 to supply chlorine gas by pipeline to the Tiwest Joint Venture as a feedstock for the manufacture of titanium dioxide pigment.

The plant, located at the Tiwest’s complex in Kwinana West Australia has capacity to produce 55 MTPD of chlorine, and needed to be expanded by the addition of a second manufacturing installation in order to support a planned expansion of Tiwest's titanium dioxide production capacity.

Project Scope
Additional 60 MTPD of Chlorine Gas are now being supplied to the Tiwest’s titanium dioxide complex by a new stand alone production train operating in parallel with the existing plant. The project includes a new brine plant with capacity to feed both, the new and existing plants.
The new facility was supplied as pre-assembled skid mounted modules, and was designed, built and commissioned by Conve & AVS, Inc. ® who has pioneered and refined this modular construction concept for Chlor-Alkali plants.
